MYSTERY WRITERS OF AMERICA and St. Martin’s Minotaur have announced their annual First Crime Novel Competition. It is open to any writer who has not been published in any genre before and is not under contract with a publisher. The story must involve a murder or other serious crime and manuscripts must be no less than 220 typewritten pages (approximately 60,000 words. The winner will be offered a publishing contract with Minotaur Books. Entry forms with specific rules must be requested by November 12, 2010 at Minotaur Books/MWA Competition, St. Martin’s Minotaur, 175 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10010.
